Supervision & reflective practice

I offer clinical supervision to therapists and trainee psychologists, both one to one or in groups. Fees are usually charged at my standard rate.

As an experienced reflective practice facilitator, I provide reflective practice sessions for staff groups at all levels, both client and non-client facing. I also offer one-off support sessions to individuals or groups after incidents. In particular, I specialise in working issues related to trauma, grief, loss and suicide.

Training

I offer training in a range of areas related to both research and psychology. Most recently I have developed and delivered training in:

  • Understanding and implementing Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE),

  • Emotional support and building resilience,

  • Using compassion exercises and grounding skills to regulate emotions

  • Understanding formulation for support workers 

  • Psychological skills workshops for staff groups

  • Creative ways of working with grief and loss

  • How to talk about suicide and self-harm

Consultancy

With a background in social research (in the Ministry of Justice, National Offender Management Service, University of Bristol & as a freelance Consultant), I have designed, managed and conducted a range of research projects, both quantitative and qualitative. I have experience in process and impact evaluations, systematic reviews/rapid evidence assessments, developing theories of change, measuring outcomes, amongst other things. Clients have included the West of England Academic Health Science Network, Giving Evidence and The Social Innovation Partnership.

I have delivered numerous workshops and conference presentations on the value of good evidence and measuring impact, to charities and statutory organisations. I would be happy to discuss your needs for research, presentations or workshops.
